Hansi Flick: 'We've stepped forward'

FC Barcelona coach looks ahead to a tough fixture this Saturday away to Getafe

It's been a wonderful 2025 so far for FC Barcelona, and the idea is to keep the wins coming as they travel to Getafe on Saturday, a place where Barça have failed to score on their last four visits. And coach Hansi Flick knows all about the scoring difficulties at the Coliseum, saying at his pre-game conference on Friday that "we have spoken about it and we hope we have it all worked out."

"We have taken a step forward in the last few games ... I am very happy with the team"

He was particularly quizzed about the goalkeeping situation now that Szczęsny has served his one-game suspension, and after Iñaki Peña impressed against Betis in the cup, but the German was eager not to give too much away in that regard.

Christensen back

What he did confirm is that Andreas Christensen is finally match-fit again. "We have worked hard with the medical team" he said. "Now we only have three injuries, and Iñigo won't be out for long. We also have Bernal and Ter Stegen. But Christensen is back and that's good news."

"However, we have a lot of games in the next few weeks, although we are only thinking about the next one. First we have to beat Getafe and then we'll think about Benfica."
